chikung qigong 1Chi Kung is an ancient Chinese art for cultivating body, mind and energy. The method we teach is simple, direct and effective. Practice is suitable for all adults practically regardless of age, health, and mobility. Our courses require no previous knowledge or experience – the only pre-requisite is the sincere willingness to learn.

At our beginner’s course, you will learn all the fundamentals of effective chi kung practice for health, vitality and peak performance. The course program includes the form, the skills, and the philosophy of chi kung. The entire course consists of about three months of weekly training sessions, and daily personal practice.

Course content

  • Deep relaxation
  • “Entering Zen”, ie. clearing the mind, and the skill of effortless concentration
  • Eight Pieces of Brocade, the 8 first exercises of the 18 Lohan hands -set
  • Generating an energy flow
  • Self-manifested chi flow
  • Philosophy: the aims and depth of chi kung
  • Fundamental meditation training

Course aims

  • To attain a basic understanding of the meaning and scope of chi kung.
  • To acquire within a comparatively short time the best available chi kung skills and techniques to competently practice on your own after the course
  • To be able to confidently and effectively enter and apply deep relaxation, and meditative state of mind
  • To have an experience of the benefits of high-level chi kung practice

The course will be taught in Helsinki by Sifu Markus Kahila. Teaching is in Finnish.
